    Combine 1 & 1/2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.

    Combine the milk, water, and 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan.

    Heat to 110-120°F.

    Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, and beat until moistened.

    Add the egg, and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes.

    Stir in enough of the remaining flour to form a soft dough.*

    Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic (about 6-8 minutes).

    Divide the dough into 12 pieces**, and shape each piece into a roll.

    Dip each dough portion into the melted butter and then into the garlic powder.

    Place 6 of the rolls in a greased 9"x 5" loaf pan.

    Sprinkle with everything seasoning or sesame seeds.

    Add the remaining rolls on top of the ones in the pan.

    Sprinkle again with everything seasoning or sesame seeds.

    Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 45 minutes).

    Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.

    Cool for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer the bread from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
