Meatball marinara fries
Ingredients
- Step 1 300g frozen French fries
- Step 2 ½ tbsp olive oil
- Step 3 ½ finely chopped onion
- Step 4 1 garlic clove , crushed
- Step 5 ½ tsp chilli flakes
- Step 6 400g can chopped tomatoes
- Step 7 1 tsp dried oregano
- Step 8 ½ tbsp sugar
- Step 9 150g beef meatballs
- Step 10 40g grated mozzarella
- Step 11 40g grated cheddar

Directions
- Step 1 Cook the French fries following pack instructions. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 10 mins. Add the garlic and chilli flakes, and fry for 5 mins more. Tip in the tomatoes, oregano and sugar, then simmer for 10 mins.
- Step 2 In another pan, fry the beef meatballs for 5 mins until browned, then add to the sauce and bubble for 5 mins, or until cooked through. Put the fries in a heatproof dish and top with the meatballs and sauce. Scatter over the mozzarella and cheddar. Grill for 2-3 mins until the cheese has melted. Season and serve.
